BSc Business

Course Overview

This degree programme prepares you for the demanding world of business. It combines core social science paradigms with technical skills such as data analysis. Without sufficient understanding of why things happen, management students will never be able to anticipate market changes instead of just reacting to them. You will be introduced to theories of firms and to macroeconomic concepts which are relevant to business. You will also learn about the socio-political and cultural aspects of the business environment. Most importantly, you will acquire the ability to critically assess business discourse and to assimilate new ideas which will be beneficial throughout your career. This degree structure allows you to select from a number of other subject areas including social science, finance and economics units. This allows you to focus on developing analytical and quantitative skills relating to either financial aspects of management, or business and management in an international context.
