About this Course

This course has been specially devised to prepare and equip students, especially international students, who intend to study for a Business or related degree delivered and assessed in the English language. It seeks to develop the key English and study skills which, together with knowledge and understanding of key business areas, are so vital for success at university. Indeed, this course seeks to equip students to be effective independent learners, able to access and use a wide range of sources of information and data.

As you can see from the wide range of books shown below, this Diploma has been developed by teachers who write textbooks for major publishers. A profile of just some of the teachers of CIEC and CLC is presented on pages 4 to 8.

Each of the modules studied will use materials which have been developed by CIEC with Pearson Education, the largest educational publisher in the world.

On this course students will study the key areas of business, including communication skills, marketing principles, strategy, budgeting, human resource management, global business environment and managing and leading teams. Students will also develop the key academic and research skills so important for individuals and businesses.
