Diploma in Economics

Course Overview

The Diploma has been designed by the London School of Economics and Political Science for the University of London Undergraduate Programme. Students who are 18 years of age or above can apply for the Diploma programme. Students can only study for the Diploma in Economics through an institution that has been given permission to teach the qualification by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The City of London College has been given Permission to teach the Diploma in Economics by the London School of Economics and political Science (LSE), one of the Lead Colleges of the University of London.

The University of London maintains robust and effective quality assurance mechanisms for all its degrees and other awards. The University of London academics are responsible for the academic direction and integrity of each programme. This includes the integrity of each programme. The academics at the University are responsible for setting the syllabuses and preparing the study material. Students are assessed by unseen written exams (and sometimes coursework) set and marked by the same academics who assess College – based students in London. CLC support for the Diploma in Economics will be determined by staff availability and student demand.
